Jasper Reid was born 1 Nov 1836 in Alabama and died 11 Sep 1879 in Garrett's Bluff, Lamar County, Texas. He was buried in Garrett's Bluff Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas. He married Caroline Frances Sherrer in Ashley County, Arkansas, on 29 Nov 1866. "Carrie" was born 20 Dec 1846 in Alabama and died 17 Mar 1936 at Soper in Choctaw County, Oklahoma. Jasper Reid and Caroline Frances "Carrie" Sherrer were my maternal great-grandparents. Both are buried in Garrett's Bluff cemetery in Garrett's Bluff, Lamar County, Texas. Jasper is buried in a stone crypt which has fallen in and "Carrie" is buried on the same mound. "Carrie", my great-grandmother was married four (4) times and outlived all her husbands. Her full name is Caroline Frances Sherrer Reid Bogard Hancock Hill. Mr. Bogard is the only one that I do not know where he is buried. Mr. Hancock is buried in Evergreen cemetery and Mr. Hill is buried in Fannin County.
