Franklin Robert Thomas enlisted 19 Feb 19 1861. During the war he was wounded five times and he was one of the last to give up at Citronelle, Alabama on May 4, 1865. He served as Private, Bugler, Company H, 32nd Texas Cavalry.

Franklin was the son of Robert Thomas and Mariah Harrell Thomas. He was born on 15 Nov 1834 in the City of Thomaston, Upson County, GA.

Franklin Robert Thomas married Sarah Beaver in 1857, in the city of Daingerfield, Titus County, TX.

Their children were: James, Henry, Edgar, Soloman, Alice, Willie Ida Thomas.

Franklin died in December 1922 and is buried in the Mt. View Cemetery, Flecher, OK.
